Who can attend the Expo?

The Expo is open exclusively to food & beverage industry buyers, along with members of the media. 
There is no fee for buyers or media to attend.

How many Virginia exhibitors are expected?

175-200 vendors are expected, each showcasing, sampling and accepting orders.

Can you tell us more about the Best New Product Awards?

The Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services awards the Best New Product Diamond Award during the Virginia Food & Beverage Expo.  Products are evaluated on the basis of originality, taste/aroma, creative packaging and visual appearance. In addition to the Best New Product, awards are presented for the Best New Food Product and the Best New Beverage Product. At the last Expo, 63 new Virginia products were featured in the award competition. Popular food writers, editors, bloggers and chefs serve as judges. Are children allowed?

No, we’re sorry, but no one under age 18, including infants, will be admitted onto the trade show floor.

How many buyers typically attend?

Recent shows have attracted 800 to 1,500 buyers from the specialty food and beverage industry.

Will there be direct selling on the show floor?

No direct sales, but product sampling will last throughout the day. Many vendors offer show specials, so be sure to ask about on-site order discounts.  Examples of show specials include: free products (baker’s dozen), price discounts on show orders, free or reduced shipping for a limited time, in-store demos and point-of-sale materials.

What type of businesses do attendees represent?

Gift, Gourmet, Natural and Specialty Shops, Grocery Stores, Supermarkets, Online retailers, Foodservice, including Restaurants, Hospitals, Hotels, Resorts, B&B’s, Inns, Schools, Museums, Wineries, and Distributors and Brokers.

And, if I’m a Virginia specialty food or beverage manufacturer, how do I select my Vendor exhibit booth space?

Refer to the floor plan for numbers.  Select a first, second and third choice and indicate those choices on the Exhibitor Registration Form.  We will do our best to accommodate your choices; however, we reserve the right to alter booth arrangements when unforeseen situations warrant it. Show management will finalize booth numbers closer to the show date. To learn more about becoming an exhibitor, click here. Note: Exhibitors must be Virginia companies (headquartered in Virginia) that grow, produce or process a food or beverage product. All products on display must be pre-approved by VDACS Office of Food Safety. All products must have a Virginia address on their label. Industry-related products or exhibitors are subject to show management approval.
